REX Extends its Home Prep Program

Home Prep was successfully piloted in Southern California during the COVID-19 pandemic, with new plans to deploy earlier on select markets in Texas, Northern California, and Florida.

FREMONT, CA: REX, a technology firm that links real estate buyers and online vendors, has announced the expansion of Home Prep, a platform that deals with homeowners looking to market their homes and to pay interest-free home renovation expenses. The software was successfully piloted in Southern California during the COVID-19 pandemic, with new plans to deploy earlier on select markets in Texas, Northern California, and Florida.

How It Works

Sellers now have an improved opportunity to view their listing in the best light possible. Interested buyers will take a variety of steps to ready their home for listing:

Personalized recommendations: Upon learning about the house, the REX counselor suggests customized changes. These future changes can include deep cleaning, maintenance, decoration, lawn maintenance, flooring, moving and packing, and staging.

Acceptance of the seller: After reviewing the REX planner’s recommendation list, along with quotations to ensure clarity, the seller chooses and approves the home planning that they would like to invest in.

No Upfront Cost: REX covers up to one percent of the home value of the upfront improvement cost, set at 10K dollars, only to be repaid until the home is sold or the listing deal is terminated.

Trusted Collaborations for Completion: After buyers have accepted the recommended home prep, REX and its vendor partners complete the assignments. The trusted associates of REX are thoroughly audited to ensure acceptable standards of work. The method places the sellers in the driver’s seat, helping them adapt their listing to their priorities and the local demand.
