SanDisk Joins Hands with QCT to Deliver All-Flash Storage Solution for Big Data Environments
MILPITAS, CA: SanDisk, a provider of flash storage solutions partners with QCT, a provider of Data Center solutions, to design an all flash storage solution for OpenStack and Ceph environments. The solution will meet the growing demands of high capacity and performance storage for large workloads such as hyperscale data centers and Big Data environments.
As Big Data has gained momentum in the corporate world, it is crucial to store large amounts of data and deliver necessary data to drive analytics tools. The joint solution designed by SanDisk and QCT aims to provide massive scale and efficiency to OpenStack and Ceph environments. It will be built on SanDisk’s InfiniFlash System and QCT’s server designs.
With 50 times more performance, 5 times more density and 4 times the reliability of traditional hard disk drive arrays, the InfiniFlash allows users to make the most of their data center with high capacity and performance scale. InfiniFlash is designed to deliver high throughput and quality of service applications allowing organizations to scale up and scale out. InfiniFlash offers an all flash array system without compression or de duplication technologies. Also, the cost goes down with software stacks offering data reduction schemes.
QCT’s server designs progresses data centers to next levels of hyperscale performance allowing its users to boost their cloud computing performance. The solution created by integrating InfiniFlash and QCT’s servers will innovate new all flash storage solution for massive scale in the growing market of Big Data and Hyperscale storage.
