SAP to Take New Initiatives with Vodafone to Elevate Internet of Things Platform Momentum
FREMONT, CA: SAP SE recently declared its collaboration with Vodafone for the Internet of Things (IoT) foundation for SAP HANA which will feature Vodafone’s device connectivity management capability.
SAP and Vodafone have joined hands to work on customer projects in all the industries these companies serve. This agreement will work with the motive to enable enterprises connect and manage devices using Vodafone’s IoT connectivity platform and to integrate and freewheel data from devices to the SAP HANA platform. The technical certification of the integration between Vodafone and SAP HANA is supported by the new IoT foundation from SAP.
“SAP is building a strong ecosystem of key partners in the IoT space,” said Nayaki Nayyar, Head of IoT GTM, SAP. “Working with companies like Vodafone, enables us to provide a seamless and feature-rich way for our customers to get the most out of their IoT data — from insights to outcome.”
It is engineered for an easy launch, manage, and monetization of the IoT services, ultimately assisting consumers to aggregate data from SIM-based IoT devices' status, usage, rate plans and billing. Further, it will render an integrated dashboard which enables SAP users in managing IoT deployments globally. By incorporating device connectivity management capabilities from Vodafone with IoT applications, the IoT foundation for SAP HANA can assist in simplifying the procedure of gaining and managing regional and/or global wireless services that interoperate with SAP solutions for the IoT.
“The success of the IoT market is going to be built on partnerships,” said Erik Brenneis, Director, Internet of Things, Vodafone. “Working with SAP and bringing our joint expertise to customers will enable them to benefit from the IoT quickly and easily.”
