Sartomer Offers Enhanced Corrosion Resistant Oligome-CN9030

FREMONT, CA: Sartomer, a provider of acrylate/methacrylate monomers, oligomers, and other specialty chemicals, releases a new difunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate, CN9030. It can be used to provide a weatherable top coat in high performance UV/EB- cure coating applications, when paired with a corrosion- resistant base coat.

The oligomer along with producing strong and flexible films, demonstrates adhesion to challenging substrates like metals and plastics. This makes it ideal for coated metal used in outdoor applications where yellowing and corrosion is a common phenomenon.

CN9030 surpasses typical epoxy and polyester acrylate oligomers on a variety of substrates, including aluminum, cold-rolled steel, tin-plated steel and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Moreover, CN9030 is resistant to harsh chemicals such as methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and exhibits excellent gloss retention. Supplementary applications include inks (lithographic, flexographic, screen and inkjet), laminating adhesives and electronics.
