Silicon Mechanics Announces Support to its NVIDIA Tesla K80 Dual-GPU Accelerator

FREMONT, CA: Silicon Mechanics, provider of rackmount server, storage, and high-performance computing solutions has announced the launch of NVIDIA Tesla K80 dual-GPU accelerator as a support to its GPU accelerated products and high performance computing solutions.

The new offering of Tesla Accelerated Computing Platform is developed for complex machine learning, data analytics and scientific computing applications. The platform delivers high performance bandwidth, and leverages advanced version of NVIDIA GPU Boost technology to increase performance depending on individual applications and workloads.

The inclusion of the new GPU accelerator in Silicon Mechanics HPC solutions and GPU products will increase overall performance, as the new accelerator outperforms previous GPU accelerators, and is up to 10x faster than CPUs on many applications. The addition of the Tesla K80 Dual-GPU accelerator will help to improve the HPC experience of Silicon Mechanics’ customers by enabling more efficient computing.
