SmartChip Announces Third Generation of Semiconductor Solutions for Innovative Mobile Technology
FREMONT, CA: SmartChip, a provider of semiconductor solutions, announces new generation of semiconductor-based controllers dedicated for Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), Universal SIM and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications. The latest third generation of controller devices, SCFXXXI, is expected to yield power, cost, and performance trade-offs to the Telecom industry.
To begin with, the company will be providing SCF40001 – as the first member of the SCFXXXI – controller to cater to the demands of resource-intensive 3G Java applications. Based on CORTUS APS3cd 32-bit Harvard RISC architecture, SCF4001 gets the support of a comprehensive set of development tools. The device has been designed to perform as a high speed, high capacity memory.
It achieves a processing speed of 25 MIPS for Java code execution.
