Sprint and Gemalto Extend Partnership to Manage Growth of LTE Deployments
LAS VEGAS, NV: Gemalto, provider of digital security and Sprint, a telecommunications company, extend their partnership by signing a contract to manage growing LTE deployments in the U.S. To facilitate LTE service activations of Sprint, it will use Gemalto’s Allynis Advanced Over the Air (AOTA) solution as a service.
The AOTA solution delivered by Gemalto provides connectivity to all devices efficiently through any channel or network technology. This solution enables mobile operators to benefit from the rapid http world on any channel. By leveraging this solution, Sprint can speed up service provisioning and technical updates. It will enhance the transition between 3G to 4G networks for optimized wireless service.
In the race of providing 4G networks, Sprint’s 4G LTE and Sprint Spark provide useful services and wireless IP connectivity that acts as a gateway for connected devices and IoT. Gemalto’s AOTA solution will decrease the needs of expensive installations and enable Sprint to meet the high speed connectivity demands of IoT applications.
"Our over-the-air technology currently enables 240 operators worldwide and with increased demands for connectivity, Sprint and many others are opting to migrate to our more advanced and robust Advanced OTA platform. Gemalto's highly developed roadmap for delivering AOTA services worldwide is ideal for any operator interested in evolving to next generation networks or expanding 4G LTE services," says Sebastien Cano, President, Gemalto North America.
