The latest forerunner route provides diversity that no other provider can ever offer and to avail Zayo’s high-capacity fiber infrastructure for growth and innovation, several Silicon Valley companies relocating their offices to Salt Lake City and Denver.

FREMONT, CA: “We understand the urgency and priority placed on business transformation and innovation in today’s digital economy, which is why we have combined the strength of Zayo’s communications infrastructure with an all-encompassing suite of solutions tailored to enable our enterprise customers to connect, virtualize, and protect their business,” says Michael Strople, President of Zayo Enterprise.

Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. recently announced the plan for a new extensive haul fiber network between Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, and Colorado. The construction on the success-based route began last quarter and is likely to be completed in 2021.

The construction will span nearly 500 route miles along Interstate 70, which is a crucial transportation and commerce corridor. The primarily underground route offers unique connectivity and diversity between Denver and Salt Lake City. The existing route of Zayo connects the two cities via Wyoming and into Utah.

The route ties together two highly growing western markets and states. Since Colorado is among the fastest-growing states in the nation, its economic growth is driven by technology, aerospace, healthcare and biotechnology, and professional services. Denver fiber footprint of Zayo is made up of 1,600 route miles. The market is considered as the main intersection of owned long haul dark fiber connecting Chicago, Dallas, and San Francisco.

Utah, particularly the Wasatch Front, has a robust technology presence that includes cloud computing, software development, big data, and booming aerospace and life sciences sectors. The Salt Lake City fiber footprint of Zayo, on the other hand, spans 1,200 route miles.

“It is this premise, and our mission focused on accelerating our customer’s capabilities with high-quality bandwidth that has allowed Zayo to expand so quickly in a highly competitive market and enabled us to create long-lasting, trust-infused partnerships,” added Strople.

Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. was recognized as one of the 20 Most Promising Technology Solution Providers for Telecom Industry of 2017 by CIOReview.
