Storage Made Easy links Web & Desktop File Editing
FREMONT, CA: One of the leading Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric providers Storage Made Easy, introduced CloudEdit, an innovative element of the company’s Enterprise Sync and Share solution. The new feature offers an improved technology for companies to enable their users to select documents online and edit them on a computer. The CloudEdit feature is claimed to support any of the 50+ connectors that SME provides to private and public storage including Amazon S3, OpenStack, S3 compatible clouds, WebDav, FTP, Google Drive, DropBox, and Office365. “We never customize the product in a bespoke way for a client; instead it is supported in a single product build,” says Jim Liddle, CEO, Storage Made Easy.
The latest feature allows the users to edit any type of document from roughly any storage point directly from a federated online file interface. Users can select the file online and will then be opened for editing on their desktop with the associated file extension type. Once the work is completed, CloudEdit saves the file to the original storage point automatically. The new update offers a solution to the companies that use more than one storage point for their users that just work and provide an easy frictionless experience. CloudEdit also allows auditing of the files edited, using in-built Governance and Auditing feature that offers a complete history of the user interactions. CloudEdit is a feature of the Storage Made Easy Enterprise File Share and Sync solution that is available for Enterprises, Service Providers, and Educational establishments.
Based out of Sutton, London The Storage Made Easy Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric enables IT to regain control of "cloud sprawl", unifying private and public file sharing into a single, converged storage infrastructure that can easily be managed and used to set governance and audit controls.
