Storagecraft Issues Licenses for Its Award-Winning Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution
DRAPER, UT: New socket based licensing model by StorageCraft enables protection for virtual machines with its easy-to-use backup and disaster recovery offering, ShadowProtect SPX. IT professionals and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can purchase a number of SPX licenses as per CPU sockets per hosts for their Microsoft and VMware machines. Additionally, they can protect a number of virtual machines with each socket license.
SPX allows backup and recovery software solution on all machines which supports Windows, Linux, or mixture of platforms. The StorageCraft-built snapshot driver within the software ensures back-up for Linux platform every time. While, Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) can be used for Windows enabled machines to ensure solid backups. The Volume Snapshot Manager (VSM) embedded within the software drives backups to happen at efficient rate and recovers backup images in minutes whenever needed.

Whereas, the standard edition provides overall lower total cost with per-socket licensing for companies equipped with more than 6 sockets. StorageCraft also made available Virtual Guest Packs for its users with per-virtual machine licenses in pack(s) of 1, 3, or 10.
