Sungard Partners John Menzies to Streamline Information Availability
WAYNE, PA: Sungard Availability Services, a provider of information availability through managed IT, cloud and recovery services announced the signing of a 10 year partnership deal with John Menzies PLC, a global airline services and major logistics supplier. The partnership delivers global managed IT solutions by enabling John Menzies to transform its IT infrastructure. It also leverages Sungard AS’ best- in- class global data center, cloud infrastructure and network management capabilities.
John Menzies PLC provides support services in fast moving markets. It also enhances operational performance and customer experience by streamlining the IT environment for further investment in innovative IT and business systems, to create strategic differentiation.
The partnership contract allows Sungard AS to take over the responsibility for John manzies’ IT network and transform its services into fully compatible cloud-based solutions. It also provides a robust, agile and future- proofed IT services, upholding continued growth for John Menzies. The project commenced with the migration of Menzies environment recovery services into Sungard AS’ main UK data center. The project phases include data center consolidation, enterprise managed services and network managed services supported by a cloud management strategy.
