SURFCAM's CNC Programs to Get Simulated with VERICUT

By CIOReview | Wednesday, February 19, 2014

FREMONT, CA: Vero, a software firm that provides computer aided design and manufacturing software has announced the integration of its SURFCAM’s CNC programs with CGTech’s VERICUT software.

A machine crash or failure is something that is difficult to take up. In parallel to the age old saying ‘prevention is better than cure’, it’s ideal to unearth all kinds of errors and faults prior to the real designing of gadgets.

SURFCAM‘s CNC program when combined with VERICUT reduces the chances of errors, saves time and tests new programs on the machine. The companies say that it is the increased complexity in CNC machines that paved way to simulation technology.

The integration helps in simulation of CNC machines and makes them more efficient, profitable and competitive. This CNC Machine Simulation detects collisions and near-misses between all machine tool components such as axis slides, heads, turrets, rotary tables, spindles, tool changers, fixtures, work pieces and cutting tools.

With the help of VERICUT, CNC machines simulate g-codes and thus they behave just like real gadgets.
