SVSI N1000 Series Delivering Visually Lossless HD With Zero Latency
FREMONT, CA: HARMAN Professional brand introduces 8 new models in the SVSI N1000 AV over IP Encoder and Decoder Series. The new SVSI N1000 models feature improved digital pixel reproduction and cut the already small latency in half.
The ability to send IP Media for distribution using common managed network switches in any size and configuration makes SVSI solutions extremely flexible and easy to deploy. SVSi’s N1000 Series is an affordable local, video-over-IP switching solution preserving the scalable, feature-rich qualities that customers have come to expect from SVSi.
The new Encoders and Decoders maintain high definition video quality for distribution drops while dropping latency to an industry leading 10-ms for gigabit links. Packetized video streams remain visually lossless throughout distribution and also arrive instantly.
Enhanced SVSI NI1000 Encoder models offer separate HDMI and VGA/RGB inputs. Encoders and Decoders all support Power over Ethernet (PoE) and a separate Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) port, allowing visually lossless video to be routed on a fiber-only network and extend signals beyond the reach of category cable. USB connectivity, previously available in the SVSI N2000 product line only, is now an option and will enable users to extend USB over IP for touch-enabled and KVM applications.
Each video stream bandwidth is fixed at 880-Mbps and must be home-runned to gigabit switches, but it can use the built-in multicast routing feature of layer-3 switches to prevent overloading of any port or network segment. By using uncompressed video, the cost, complexity, and latency of compression codecs required for video-over-IP are eliminated for local in-room deployment with options for LAN or WAN distribution using SVSi’s line of transcoders.
