Synology Cloud Sync Extends Support for OpenStack Swift
BELLEVUE, WA: Synology announces the release of their latest version of backup tool Cloud Sync which includes support for OpenStack Swift. OpenStack Swift is a popular object-storage system, providing business users ability to store and sync data with their desktops, tablet and smart phones.
Product Manager at Synology says, "Synology knows the same solution isn't right for everyone, so we're actively adding new services to Cloud Sync, in this case OpenStack Swift, allowing our business users to sync files easily, securely, and to backup to the storage provider of their choice."
Cloud Sync enables the users to easily synchronize files on their Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) with multiple storage services including Amazon Cloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and OpenStack Swift. Options with advanced settings allow one or two way sync, selective sync and encryption with which users can sync files securely.
Cloud Sync is currently downloadable from Synology’s Package Center and can be installed on any Synology NAS models running DSM 5.0 and later.
