TelemedIQ Partners with Capital Region Medical Center to Introduce Healthcare Communications in 21st Century
JEFFERSON CITY, MO: Capital Region Medical Center partners with TelemedIQ to leverage mobility and enhance communications across healthcare teams. TelemedIQ will deliver a secure text messaging and clinical communications workflow solution. “Upgrading to a secure two-way communications platform is a necessary growing pain for hospitals,” said Jason Cecil, Capital Region Medical Center’s CIO, who lead the evaluation and implementation process.
The traditional pager-based workflow was deteriorating patient care and the need to upgrade communications platform was crystal clear for the board members of Medical Center. TelmedIQ provides the University of Missouri affiliate hospital the ability to improve the efficiency and speed of physician communications and access to patient information for making informed decisions. The partnership enabled the Medical Center to secure Protected Health Information (PHI) being transmitted via messaging app and simultaneously displacing the pager-based workflow partially, as so many physicians are reliant on it.
