Teletrac Navman and Garmin Provide Robust In-Cab Tablet Solution
GLENVIEW, IL: The advancement in technologies has a tremendous impact on fleet management space, offering an agile, robust transportation. The GPS tracking and fleet management provider—Teletrac Navman announces partnership with Garmin to deliver new in-cab tablet solution. The secure and scalable solution enables customers to use Navman’s fleet management app suite ‘Drive’ along with Garmin’s navigation.
The partnership focuses on daily consumer workflows including in-cab communication, dispatching, routing and navigation. The comprehensive suite of applications provides vehicle operators with safety and efficiency tools through an easy-to-use interface. The advanced in-vehicle navigation and two- way messaging functions delivers seamless transportation. Ability to send and receive messages, and multiple map views offers efficiency and productivity.
Trucking and Private Fleet gives importance to the quality of life through constantly monitoring route efficiency, delivery deadlines, safety and compliance. Teletrac Navman Drive app enables drivers and users to target their task of managing communication, compliance and other logical aspects. In addition, the app also helps in slashing time consumption by allowing operators to manually log book entries using electronic driver E-log feature. E-Log streamlines the process of entering, coding, completing and storing all information for logbooks directly using in-cab solution. The log creates a federally compliant and paper-free environment among users, making compliance easier.
The Driver Vehicle Inspection Report in the app offers users the facility to fill out digital forms eliminating the need for unwanted paperwork during inspections. Fleet managers can also print and share inspection reports of each vehicle and further want Fleet Director to review.
"We are committed to serving the trucking and private fleet market. Our customers rely on us to keep them compliant, especially now that the FMCSA Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Final Rule has been officially published. Fleet operations need a trusted in-cab solution to provide Records of Duty Status (RODS)," says Sid Nair, Sr. Director Transport & Compliance, Teletrac Navman.
