Telstra and Cisco to Unveil Three SDN and NFV Products for Cloud Security
FREMONT, CA: Telstra, a telecommunication and information services company teams up with Cisco to unveil their three upcoming SDN (software-defined networking) and NFV (network function virtualization) products, with the aim of improving cloud security and global datacenter interconnection.
The three upcoming products include: Cloud Gateway Protection, Virtual Private Network, and Data Centre Interconnect. Cloud Gateway Protection, revolutionizes the way cloud, network and managed services are deployed and consumed.
Cloud Gateway Protection is a virtual security application, which is designed to protect internet access, cloud services, and IP Networks from malicious attacks and unauthorized access. Virtual Private Network enables enterprises to connect multiple sites and mobile workers to office networks with a few clicks in the Telstra online portal, thereby providing secure and encrypted links over the public internet. Data Centre Interconnect is an extension of Telstra PEN Platform (data centre interconnect SDN product), which enables enterprises to instantly set up link between domestic and global data centres on flexible contracts. These three housed products enable customers to leverage cloud and network services via a single self-service portal and on-demand functionality.
