TexBase Introduces Material Connect to Streamline the Sharing of Fabric Information
FREMONT, CA: Textile & Apparel industry is evolving with innovations in technology, machinery, synthetic fiber, logistics, and globalization of the business. Tightening the grip in this evolving and growing industry, TexBase, a developer of cloud-based software for the apparel and textile industries, has introduced Material Connect- a new supplier collaboration solution, to accelerate and streamline the sharing of fabric information between brands and their suppliers.
Built to eradicate the need to send email attachments to suppliers, receive them back, and manually transfer data to a spreadsheet, Manual Connect helps in reducing time wastage, higher costs and inaccuracy. According to the company, the new solution removes the need to exchange fabric profile templates via email and the need to manually transfer data upon receipt.
With the help of the new solution, fabric vendors can now directly submit new fabric information and update on existing fabrics to their customers. After approval from the customer, Material Connect adds new fabric data and images into their fabric library or update existing fabric records.
Commenting on the new launch, Joe Walkuski, CEO and Founder, TexBase, says, “Using email to send templates for vendors to fill out and send back is one of the most time-consuming activities that sourcing and development teams engage in. We built Material Connect to eliminate this work, minimize keystrokes, and allow more time for creativity rather than data entry. It’s completely secure and has already facilitated the data transfer for thousands of fabrics resulting in significant savings while at the same time accelerating innovation for our customers.”
