The Power of Supply Chain Towers
With supply chains becoming much more multi-enterprise, multi-partied, and multi-mode, the need for the search of tools that focus entirety on supply chain networks for ensuring effective customer order processing and management, stop at—supply chain control tower, an agile cloud platform that focuses on providing end-to-end supply chain visibility, and control. A control tower maximizes the visibility, actionability, collaboration, and automation.
Supply chain control tower can be either analytical or operational. While Analytical control towers provide the necessary insights into the supply chain, Operational control tower deals with the transactions performed in the control tower. A supply chain control tower provides tools for an organization to efficiently manage and monitor its resources by giving complete control over the inventory from receiving and shipping docks, warehouse management, to manufacturing through end to end process visibility. It improves decision making, including providing actual data on orders, inventory, shipments and capacity constraints across all nodes of the network.
Supply chain control tower can be analytical or operational. While Analytical control towers provide the necessary insights into the supply chain, Operational control tower will have the transactions performed in the control tower. Cross-organizational collaboration is the next stage of development across multiple tiers of suppliers, customers, and logistics service providers. It enables supply chain managers to address issues directly, for allowing seamless working with trading partners to solve other wide range of problems that occur within the supply chain network. Having standardized processes in supply chain control tower gives companies the flexibility to plug in new logistics as the needs arise while effectively keeping a view of the supply chain matrix.
