ThreatMetrix Launches Open Intel to Address Fraud Prevention
SAN JOSE, CA: ThreatMetrix, a provider of cloud solution for authenticating digital personas and transactions on the Internet, has launched Open Intel—an innovative capability to incorporate intelligence signals from third party security solutions into ThreatMetrix platform. This consolidation will provide customers a unified decision framework to better orchestrate fraud prevention and verification across the enterprise.
As the global threat environment rapidly accelerates, ThreatMetrix makes use of the most advanced technologies and deploys solutions to deal with compatibility and security issues. “At ThreatMetrix, we have always focused on helping businesses prevent cybercrime,” said Reed Taussig, President and CEO, ThreatMetrix. With Open Intel, ThreatMetrix enables customers to perpetuate their legacy and upcoming expenditures in third party threat intelligence tools to complement native ThreatMetrix intelligence into a unified decision framework. Open Intel resides on the ThreatMetrix Smart Analytics platform, which is a robust machine learning and behavioral analytics infrastructure that supports Digital Identity Network.
The IT environment is evolving rapidly beyond personal computers to include servers, workstations and Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals, pressurizing security officers to re-evaluate the way their endpoints are protected. The new wave of endpoint security is committed to maintain the integrity of the device and shield software devices against security breaches. This essence is leading customers to purchase endpoint security solutions—including solutions from ThreatMetrix—to defend against malware, online fraud and malicious intent. However, most of the single-purpose products are designed to identify a specific threat vector, either for web or mobile channels. Taking a leap, ThreatMetrix has established its own integrated threat and device intelligence capabilities, to assist customers orchestrate these detection signals into a cohesive decision framework.
In an environment where multi-layered approach to security is fundamental, the industry is challenged to orchestrate those layers to drive better decisions. Open Intel provides customers with a framework to create custom integrations of external signals and third-party vendor data solutions onto the ThreatMetrix Digital Intelligence and Smart Analytics platform.
