Timesys Extends Support for i.MX 6 Series Applications Processors

PITTSBURGH, PA: Timesys, developer of LinuxLink suite of embedded Linux tools has announced to offer its support to the upcoming Freescale i.MX 6UltraLite applications processor using its LinuxLink, that include Yocto Project support, commercial support contract options, custom training options and a wide array of services from porting to custom hardware to optimizing boot time.

The processor is cost- efficient and is now a member of the versatile versatile i.MX 6 series of applications processors ideal for Internet of Things (IoT) applications with the ideal features like Advanced power management, robust security features, hardware tamper detection and rugged reliability.

The processor helps developers to design secure and smarter devices for consumer and industrial markets using Timesys' comprehensive embedded Linux support offering. They can also develop and design custom Linux BSPs for building value-add Linux applications. The Linux link allows them to design, build, debug, optimize, deploy, and maintain commercial-grade software systems.

In addition to software and development tools, i.MX 6UltraLite developers will also have access to Timesys' complete array of professional services, project-based commercial support and customized training, enabling them to significantly accelerate their development schedules and reduce overall project costs.
