TMS And UUX Ink New Entertainment Metadata Agreement
CHICAGO,IL: The entertainment navigation provider, TMS and Internet-TV-as-a-Service (iTaaS) platform firm, UUX have entered a deal which will see UUX use TMS’ ‘On Entertainment’ metadata in the entertainment guides it creates for Latin American network operators.
These guides intended for Internet-connected TVs, streaming players, game consoles, tablets, smartphones and websites, enable UUX customers’ end users to seamlessly find and watch the entertainment content they’re most interested in. UUX believes, facilitating such an advanced search and discovery among end users maximizes their customers’ Average Revenue per User (ARPU).
“We’re happy to be using TMS data in our entertainment guides as we expand our presence in Latin America and beyond,” said Lou Schwartz, CEO of UUX.
UUX will now leverage TMS’ rich On Entertainment data to provide TV schedules, program descriptions, and banners and cast photos that optimize for display on a variety of screens. Proprietary TMS Unique IDs enable the synchronization of various assets across datasets which facilitates the discoverability of live TV, on demand and online content.
“UUX’s decision to use TMS data in its new Internet-TV-as-a-Service platform is further validation of our Latin American datasets,” said Rich Cusick, General Manager of TMS.
TMS metadata powers various television and movie guide products which reach millions of end users through clients including Microsoft, Yahoo!, TiVo, Comcast, IMDb, Virgin Media UK, Com Hem, DIRECTV Latin America and Cablevision Mexico.
