SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Tokbox, a subsidiary of Telefonica, announces the launch of  Spotlight, an interactive video broadcast solution, in partnership with Fox Sports Huddle, the weekly live College Football chat show on Foxsports.com. Spotlight is a complete multi-party participation platform that enables real flexibility for website and application owners.

Spotlight facilitates viewers to connect to a live broadcast and become part of the show. Moreover, TokBox Spotlight embeds easily into any website and does not require any external plugins or visiting third party sites. "Brands are moving beyond the concept of being content creators to becoming content enablers -- bringing their fans, followers and general audience into discussions. Whether that's enabling interaction with celebrities or providing feedback about their products, brands appreciate that the opinions of their audiences is the truly valuable content," said Scott Lomond, CEO, TokBox.

Through the Fox Sports Huddle, Spotlight allows fans, coaches, players, and experts to “come face to face on FoxSports.com, one of the biggest sports websites in the world.” Live studio feeds will stream video in real-time along with reactions from its viewers as well. Recorded broadcasts will be available on demand and be rebroadcast again on television screens around the U.S.

Spotlight also has applications for media companies as well as for brands, like American Idol and Major League Baseball, who can undertake attractive campaigns.
