Transit Wireless Appoints Jyoti Mahurkar-Thombre as CTO
Transit Wireless confirmed that as chief technology officer, Jyoti Mahurkar-Thombre had joined the company.
FREMONT, CA: Transit Wireless, a BAI Communications and emerging 5G wireless infrastructure firm, recently confirmed that Jyoti Mahurkar-Thombre had joined the company as chief technology officer. She will drive the technology strategy in her senior leadership role to promote the rising 5G infrastructure build-out. Mahurkar-Thombre is located in New York City and will directly report Melinda White, Transit Wireless's chief executive officer.

In her position at Transit Wireless, Mahurkar-Thombre will manage technology strategy, including engineering, network operations, R&D, and product creation.

With more than 30 years of global experience, Mahurkar-Thombre settled at Transit Wireless. She was previously CTO of a renowned pioneer in smart metering technology, Landis+Gyr. Prior to that, she worked at Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia in highly responsible positions, including as president of APAC Global Customer Delivery and vice president of Wireless R&D.
Mahurkar-Thombre received a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in computer science and engineering and holds a master's degree from Northwestern University in computer science and engineering management.
