This deal signals the launch of a long-term relationship between the two firms, through which they will pursue new possibilities for cooperation.

FREMONT, CA: Elisa Automate, a business unit of Polystar OSIX AB and a leading provider of network automation technologies for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) focused on Machine Learning/AI, has been chosen by Transtema Network Services, Sweden’s leading communications network service provider, to allow new automation capabilities. Under the deal, Elisa Automate will deliver and integrate its Virtual NOC automation system with Transtema’s 24/7 network operations center.

Automation of the Network Operation Centers (NOCs) has been essential to CSPs because it can speed up fault recovery, increase performance, and generate substantial cost savings. Legacy, manually-intensive systems are no longer sufficient as CSPs aim to run and manage networks that can facilitate more agile service delivery.

This deal signals the launch of a long-term relationship between the two firms, through which they will pursue new possibilities for cooperation. The first step in this path is the thorough automation of the Transtema’s Fault Management Process with the Virtual NOC deployment. The Virtual NOC will be distributed by the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and will be hosted in Elisa’s cloud environment.

“We are delighted to work with Polystar and Elisa Automate on this project. An efficient NOC is fundamental to our business. The process automation Virtual NOC offers gives us new levels of autonomy and efficiency,” said Magnus Eriksson, Managing Director, Transtema Network Services. “Polystar and Elisa Automate are helping us to unlock the new levels of agility we need to support efficient network operation, tuned to the needs of the next decade.”

The zero-touch automation of the Fault Management mechanism provided by Elisa Automate offers significant benefits. Supports automated network fault resolution and produces considerable time saves, reducing the burden for first-and second-level operating team specialists, allowing resources to be channeled to more productive operations.

“We are truly excited to partner with Transtema and support their current and future business objectives in being their innovative partner within the domain of Automation,” commented Kirsi Valtari, EVP, Elisa Automate. “We are looking forward to securing Zero-Touch Network Operations for Transtema and recognise that this is a critical milestone for them and their future growth ambitions.”
