FAIRMONT, WV: Tygart Technology, a provider of enterprise grade video and photographic analysis and biometric recognition systems, recently announced the launch of the MXMOBILE FaceID System, a solution that will provide facial recognition capabilities on mobile devices.

MXMOBILE enables government agencies to access the company's MXSERVER technology, a cloud-based face recognition system that processes vast amounts of video and photo collections, on agency-managed smartphones. It offers a short, rank ordered list of options that best match the face depicted in the submitted image, along with any other relevant information, such as biographical information, known aliases and previous comments regarding the individual.

This is also a cost effective solution as it eliminates the need to carry large and expensive specialized equipment requiring data to be pre-loaded for individuals that might be encountered. MXMOBILE capability enables an individual located anywhere in the world to capture and upload a photograph and determine the identity of the subject within seconds.

"MXMOBILE represents a huge technological leap forward for agents in the field, providing them with the capability to identify individuals using facial recognition in virtually real-time," says John F. Waugaman, President, Tygart Technology. "This technology will provide identity intelligence information to law enforcement, defense, intelligence and national security organizations in a searchable, intuitive fashion, allowing them to make decisions in the field faster than ever before."

The tool can also be used for citizen policing as people can upload videos and photographs of suspicious behavior. The tool also serves as a platform for evidence gathering; collecting, indexing and searching videos and photographs for future evidentiary use.
