Upgraded Expeditious Search Engine from QNAP Gets Provisions for Multimedia Search
FREMONT, CA: Qsirch 2.0, a unique and powerful search engine from QNAP has been upgraded to meet the current market needs. The upgrades include a distribution feature that enables displaying search results by file categories or other criteria and file indexing on the background while allowing users to oversee the indexing progress and current status. It is also possible to search for both Gmail content and previewing .eml files.
It provides near real-time search where the proprietary searching technology helps to quickly locate files. One can choose categories, enter keywords, and the related files will be immediately displayed.
The search engine allows comprehensive file search from over 6,000 file formats by filename, metadata, content, date modified and file path. The keywords in search results are highlighted for better identification. There is also provision for previewing images, videos and PDF files by thumbnails to enhance your browsing experience. It also has a list view mode which gives more detailed overview of search results.
Qsirch 2.0 automatically learns queries inserted to speed up future searches. It is available from the QTS App Center for all x86-based NAS models that have a minimum of 2GB RAM.
“Through customer behavior analysis, we learned that searching tasks require detailed and particular settings and display modes. Qsirch 2.0 has been updated with comprehensive searching enhancements to achieve more precise search results, and to enable instant file sharing and smooth downloading,” says Cherry Chen, Product Manager, QNAP.
