SUNNYVALE, CA: Good technology, a provider of the security over mobile platform, announced its implementation of HP mobile management solution into U.S. Navy to secure official government data on multiple mobile device platforms.

As array of broader range of smart phones and tablets saturate the marketplace, US Navy chose to adopt a model that would support a broader range of device choices, while ensuring the strictest levels of data security. As a result, the Navy has adopted the HP Mobile Management Solution, which leverages Good for Enterprise (GFE), an app that enhances mobile device collaboration over multiple device choices, while securing mission critical data.

Good Technology has blended both innovation and great user experience as meeting the customer expectations, it offers secure container solution that securely separates government data from personal data and thus making it more flexible, but with this freedom it has not compensated with its security aspects as the Good container enables users to perform work-related and personal activities on the same device, while meeting the security requirements needed to protect the Navy enterprise.

GFE will be implemented across the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (MCI) network to securely mobilize content and apps on US Department of Defense DoD-issued smart phone devices as part of the Navy's Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract and hence ensuring security.

"In the recent years HP has been working with the NGEN Program Office to improvise NMCI in way to satisfy end user experience," said Denby Starling, vice president and account executive, Navy and Marine Corps, at HP. She also quoted that "As part of this ongoing transformation, we are proud to partner with Good Technology to bring Navy personnel the ability to connect anywhere, anytime with an expanded mobile device choice."

By gripping the dynamic application containerization model, GFE also has tightened the security perimeter around agency data and allows simple, remote removal of the Good container incase the device if being lost. The platform became the first cross-platform mobile collaboration solution to achieve Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4 Augmented.
