Validant Acquires IDEC to Expand International Growth Strategy
Validant has acquired IDEC to increase its international growth strategy to collaborate with the best-in-class regulatory and quality providers.
FREMONT, CA: Validant, the prominent transatlantic quality, compliance, and regulatory consulting group (the Group), has acquired IDEC, which it a top regulatory consultancy in Japan. IDEC helps customers worldwide and helps them navigate the Japanese market by offering strategic advice and hands-on implementation support.
IDEC is distinctively positioned to support the international and local customers who operate in a complicated and challenging regulatory atmosphere. The organization is controlled by CEO, Naoya Kato, and a team of extremely experienced regulatory affairs professionals with an international background. The IDEC offers a full service regulatory and commercialization that allows the customers to have a virtual presence in Japan. The model will allow for a more strategic and efficient procedure for firms interested in entering the Japanese market.
Validants purchase of IDEC is another crucial step in its international growth strategy, which emphasizes collaborating with the best-in-class regulatory and quality providers and increasing the speed of their growth with further investment. It even follows the acquisition of DataRevive in 2019, a supervisory strategy and consultancy for global clients, based in Washington D.C.
The combination will increase the Groups geographic presence with an office in Tokyo and, together with DataRevive, which has established a Chinese office in recent times. Therefore, it will develop a robust base to develop a broader Asian regulatory practice.
Commenting on the announcement, Brian Burns, CEO of Validant said, "We are delighted to announce the acquisition of IDEC and welcome Naoya Kato and his team into the Validant family. Today's announcement is another important milestone to achieving our ambition to extend our position as the leading quality, compliance and regulatory consulting firm in the healthcare sector globally, as we integrate IDECs leading expertise in the Japanese market into the wider Validant offering."
Chris Brunger, Founder and Chairman of IDEC, said, "It is an exciting time for IDEC to be joining forces with Validant, a company that shares our philosophy and approach in providing the highest quality services to support customers with complex regulatory needs."
