
Valmet to Offer Valmet DNA Integrated Operations Solution to Manga LNG's Terminal
Valmet will provide a Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution to Manga LNG Oy's liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Tornio, Finland.
FREMONT, CA: Valmet will provide a Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution to Manga LNG Oy's liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Tornio, Finland.The order was included in the orders received by Valmet during the third quarter of 2020. The value of the order has not been revealed. Furthermore, the solution will begin in June 2021.
"We already use Valmet DNA automation system extensively throughout our terminal operations. To make processes more efficient on our loading bay and in our order management, we will complement the existing system with Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution and its electronic scheduling function," says Mika Kolehmainen, CEO, Manga LNG Oy.
"Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution is used in many LNG terminals to provide real-time data both for operators and their customers," says Mikko Haapaniemi, Product Manager, LNG, Automation, Valmet.
With the latest solution, Manga LNG and its customers can quickly enter orders directly into the ordering system. Combined with the terminal management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, the solution will even automatize and increase the speed of the procedure at the terminal.

The Valmet DNA Integrated Operations solution for terminal management and distribution information management includes resource and transfer management, transfer tracking, and endpoint monitoring. It even allows run-out time forecasts and automatic orders, load scheduling and permissions, reporting, production planning, process optimization, and an interface to ERP systems. With the help of automated and flexible tools, it can optimize sourcing and order planning. It can also seamlessly plan energy distribution efficiently, saving time and expense. The connection among different parties in the supply chain will become easy.
The solution even has a combined map tool for online asset monitoring. It also offers every data required for electrical and automated invoicing and complete quality and energy balance control.

The Manga LNG import terminal in Tornio, Finland, is a partnership among the industrial companies Outokumpu and SSAB Europe, and the energy companies EPV Energy and Gasum LNG. The terminal's motive is to expand the gas and fuel markets in Finland's Northern region by offering its industry, energy production, and maritime transport with a more environmentally friendly and inexpensive substitute.
