Vaultize Interweaves Data Loss Prevention Solutions with its Enterprise File Sharing
FREMONT, CA: Vaultize, a provider of enterprise file sharing and VPN-free secure anywhere access and mobile collaboration, announces the integration with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions in order to identify critical files and protect them through enterprise digital rights management before the employees share it from their company managed as well as BYOD devices.
DLP solution enables Vaultize to get files scanned by DLP engines using Internet Content Adaption Protocol (ICAP) before they can be shared by employees using file sync and share, or through email attachments using Outlook, or through Vaultize mobile apps. The apps have built-in Mobile content, which helps corporate IT to prevent data loss, security and compliance breaches by controlling the activities of the end-users with the corporate data through a built-in document editor for MS Office editing and PDF annotation.
Vaultize DRM implements Micro-containerization technology. It therefore embeds access rights in the document itself such that it is only usable by the authorized recipients in compliance with DRM-protection policies. The approach controls and manages the access to shared documents and permissions to open, view, download, print and edit the documents. The shared documents can also be watermarked and be given restricted access through web-based online document viewer.
"The DRM security policy enforcement is performed without compromising user experience and normal user workflows on company managed devices as well as BYOD mobile devices. In addition to protection, the embedded DRM enables detailed tracking and auditing of shared files wherever they go - independent of location, device and user,” says Anand Kekre, CEO and Co-Founder, Vaultize.
