Vector Aerospace's ADS-B Out Solution to Patrol the Air
FREMONT, CA: Vector Aerospace, a globally recognized Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) provider makes an innovative approach by developing Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) Out solution for its AW139 Finmeccanica Helicopters, a medium twin rotorcraft. ADS-B Out enables improved safety and visibility by providing traffic information including altitude, speed, direction, and distances of the aircraft, Out implementation brings both pilots and controllers to see the same picture.
ADS-B Out is well known for its airborne safety features- collision is avoided in the mid air by bringing in field visibility with real-time information of the activities going on in the air like the incoming flights, the co-ordinate position of individual flight and many more. Vector Aerospace’s ADS-B Out solution when implemented with AW139 brings into play the L-3 Avionics Systems Lynx 1090 MHz, Mode S transponder installed through a new center console control panel or the aircraft’s existing instrument panel. The ADS-B Out solution receives Supplemental Type Certification () from the US. Federal Aviation Administration () has certified the ADS-B Out; Vector Aerospace has already received an order for seven AW139 ADS-B Out kits from the customers worldwide. “This new STC development is an example of our expertise and flexibility when it comes to developing avionics solutions to meet our customer’s unique needs,” said Craig Pluim, Vice President, Rotary-Wing Sales, Vector Aerospace.
With integration of technology, Vector Aerospace’s avionics utilizes the latest solution to provide quality rewires, new installations, STC installations, refits and avionics upgrades. With a desire to fulfill customers requirement, Craig says, “Vector is pleased to offer this new product to the marketplace to meet demand from operators for lower cost solutions, especially in today’s challenging economic conditions.” Vector Aerospace takes a further step to implement the ADS-B Out solution in Airbus helicopters H125/AS350, AS355, H130/EC130 and H215/AS332; Super Puma series, Bell Helicopter models including the Bell 205, 206, 212 and 407, and the Sikorsky S-61 and S-76. Vector Aerospace aims to support a wide range of operators trans the private, commercial and military sectors and provide field support globally anytime.
