Velocity Tech Solutions Partners with DataCore to Provide Storage Virtualization Solution across IT Environments
ROSEVILLE, MN: Cloud computing helps organizations in creating innovative business model; but organizations are hesitant to move to cloud due to vendor lock -in issues and problems associated with it. DataCore Software has signed Velocity Tech Solutions as their new value added seller to avoid vendor lock-in and to empower online disk storage resources, across IT environments.
Velocity Tech solutions primarily resells server and storage hardware, which is being offered by HP, Dell, and EqualLogic to IT customers. They combine the benefits of Hyper-converged storage with central SAN (Storage area network) functionality, which supports any storage, hypervisor, server and topology. Velocity Tech combines with Datacore Software to enhance data storage space in their firm.
Datacore allows customers to leverage SANsymphony-V storage virtualization software to achieve robust and responsive shared storage environment to support IT sectors. The software runs on a standard x86 servers, which provides a common storage services for all devices. It forms a virtualization layer across disk storage devices to maximize the availability, performance and utilization of data centers of all sizes. This shared pool of combined storage capacity of different devices eliminates unwanted space in the storage area there by reducing the storage cost by 75 percent.
SANsymphony-V software avoids Storage vendor Lock-in by providing users the freedom to leverage the products and services of any competitive vendors without substantial switching cost. This also maximizes the utilization of existing storage investments to improve the application performance and response times. The software also enhances data availability to provide superior business continuity worldwide.
