FREMONT, CA: Ventyx, a supplier of industrial enterprise software for industries such as energy, mining and public infrastructure, has announced the availability of its asset performance software portfolio for managing assets, operations and smart grid analytics on Microsoft Azure cloud platform, reports PR Newswire. Ventyx is a subsidiary of ABB Company.

Ventyx’ solutions can now be accessed from anywhere, anytime by the customers as it’s available on the cloud. Microsoft’s extensive usage in the utility industry is one of the strong reasons that made Ventyx to opt for its cloud services.

With Ventyx’ range of software solutions, utilities can cut the capital investments in procuring equipments and software implementation; and swiftly deploy the asset performance management applications. Cloud computing can be leveraged to achieve cost effective and time efficient testing of 2015 power-plant emission standards, smart meter mandates, and the growth in distributed generation. The cloud model enables the utilities to scale up or down dynamically in order to meet the changing demand.

Besides all these features, Ventyx has made available its predictive analytics component, ‘Asset Health’, on Microsoft Azure. The company is also expected to add more of its asset performance management applications to the cloud in the coming months.

"Utilities are under more pressure than ever to reduce capital expenditures while minimizing equipment-related outages and delivering higher levels of customer service," said Ventyx CEO, Jeff Ray. "Our cloud-based solutions allow utilities to scale faster, avoid significant new investment in computing infrastructure and reap the benefit of fast information technology/operational technology (IT/OT) integration."
