Verizon and Novatel Wireless Introduces New 4G LTE Global USB

SAN DIEGO, CA: Novatel Wireless, provider of wireless solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), has recently launched MiFi U620L 4G LTE Global USB for Verizon Wireless based on MiFi 6600 mobile hotspots. The U620L has been crafted to support the most exacting IoT bandwidth requirements as well as offer basic 4G LTE connectivity in USB stick providing "future proof" connectivity for all applications.

 MiFi U620L is ideal for vending machines, point-of-sale kiosks, digital signage, industrial automation and other Internet of Things applications all on a single compact device measuring 3.2x1.3x.44 inches. U620L has full remote-management capabilities with support for Verizon's Remote Device Configuration tool including advanced AT commands designed for IoT applications, over-the-air configuration, diagnostics and firmware updates.

The U620L hardware offers a connector that easily folds, rotates and pivots to accommodate various USB port orientations for IoT product deployment and includes two LED indicators that communicate modem status and data used. Features like sGPS wXTRA support for location based services and a desktop dashboard application that provides additional device information and status for Windows and Mac operating systems are also included in the device.

The company claims that the device will provide the fastest connections available with full 3G backward compatibility guaranteeing data connectivity. In addition to the aforementioned features the platform also includes optimal performance low-power draw, industrial grade reliability, VPN support, and parameter tampering.
