FREMONT, CA: With a motive to increase threat awareness between merchants and the cyber security company, Visa and FireEye has collaborated together, reports Natalie Gagliordi for Small Business Matters.

With this partnership, both the companies have announced a new subscription-based service, which includes a Web portal, where Visa clients can share and view cyber intelligence, forensic threat analysis from current data breaches and information on malicious software.

“The ultimate goal with the program is to identify a breach, or a potential breach, before data can be used or compromised. There are more events now, the magnitude is bigger and there’s more sophistication, but the reports of fraud have gone down,” states Mark Nelson, Senior VP for Risk Products and Business Intelligence, Visa.

Moreover, this partnership delivers APIs to users that can automatically feed threat indicator data into a company’s own security system. FireEye is also pitching in its virtual execution engine technology to help enterprises proactively classifymalicious malware from IP addresses and domains.
