FREMONT, CA: Customers are looking to increase the value of their security investments and reduce operational costs. Keeping the market demand in mind, VMware and Intel Security have expanded their collaboration to include AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management platform for their customers.

The companies have recently embarked on two new initiatives, aimed at helping enterprises to meet today's complex mobile security challenges more effectively and efficiently. The partnership has made VMware a member of Intel Security Innovation Alliance, giving customers access to mobility data through McAfee Data Exchange Layer, a key component of Intel Security’s open, connected security system.

McAfee Data Exchange Layer is a bidirectional communications fabric which distributes global and local security intelligence, covering Intel Security products such as mobile clients and gateways, Intel Security threat intelligence technologies, and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator portal. AirWatch’s integration with Intel Security technologies will help customers maximize the value of their current security investments, resolve mobile threats more quickly and reduce operational costs.

"This partnership with Intel Security will help deliver more a complete mobile security solution and affirms our commitment to making the shift to the mobile-cloud era seamless for our customers,” says Noah Wasmer, Vice President, Mobile Engineering and Product Management, End-User Computing, VMware.

Intel Security has joined the AirWatch Mobile Security Alliance (MSA), which acts as the EMM provider’s initiative to streamline customers’ business mobility solutions. AirWatch solutions allow organizations to focus on enabling business mobility to reduce complexity of managing and securing mobile devices. MSA will give advanced, flexible yet simple options to the customers in order to demonstrate that their mobile applications, devices and networks are free from mobile threats.

“The VMware and Intel Security partnership is an integral part of our mobile security strategy and is an important step toward improving our mutual customers' threat defense lifecycle and providing better data protection, regardless of where that data resides or travels," states D.J. Long, Head of the Security Innovation Alliance, Intel.
