VMware and Juniper Networks Look to Explore Private Cloud Market in APAC Region

FREMONT, CA: Technologies VMware NSX and Juniper Networks MetaFabric are set to be integrated in a seamless manner to provide greater private cloud solutions for organizations in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The companies would pursue this objective as part of their global technology partnership to deliver joint marketing and sales activities.

As markets worldwide is predicted to be seemingly greener for private cloud, Juniper Networks and VMware are willing to make the most of it through collaborated effort that brings more customized virtualized solutions for organizations and businesses across the APAC region.

The collaboration will focus on:
Interoperability – seamlessly integrated virtual environment running on top of physical infrastructures will deliver smart forwarding of network traffic. It also bodes well for end-to-end network infrastructure visibility and management of both physical and virtual IT setup from a single pane of glass.

Integration – MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers from Juniper Networks will provide Layer 2 Gateway Services for VMware NSX. This way, bridging between the physical and virtual environment can be attained seamlessly.

VMware vCenter will integrate with Junos Space Network Director from Juniper to enable discovery, management and monitoring of virtual networks that includes vCenter servers, hosts, VMs and virtual switches. It will deliver information on virtual and physical network connectivity thus providing visibility across the environments.

A proof-of-concept lab made available to customer to test and analyse the interoperability between their VMware NSX and MetaFabric solution deployments.
