Vox Media to Acquire Technology Business News Company, Re/code
FREMONT, CA: Vox Media is acquiring Technology business news and events company Re/code along with its parent company Revere Digital. Re/code started in 2014 and has been extensively following the business side of the Technology industry.
As part of the Vox Media, Re/code is looking forward for newer ways to present its stories by migrating to Vox Media’s proprietary publishing platform. The company is also looking forward to work with The Verge, Vox Media’s technology lifestyle website.
With this acquisition, Re/code will continue to publish its Technology business news and analysis at Recode.net and across other platforms. Focus will also be laid on the growth of Re/code’s tech and business conference division.
“Re/code’s renowned tech and business conference division will continue to grow, and we will explore ways to apply Re/code’s leadership in this space to our other media brands over time,” read a blog from Vox Media.
“Recode's tremendous reviews team of Lauren Goode, Katie Boehret, and Bonnie Cha will join the Verge staff, and Walt Mossberg will be writing reviews and columns for both sites. It's an exciting expansion of our already best-in-the-business tech news and reviews team, and I can't wait to see what they do with The Verge's incredible platform and resources,” reported Nilay Patel for The Verge.
