Vubiq Networks Enhances HaulPass V60s Wireless Gigabit Ethernet System With New Upgrade.
FREMONT, CA: Vubiq Networks, Inc. a 60GHZ wireless broadband solutions provider, rolled out its new firmware upgrade for Vubiq’s HaulPass V60s™ broadband wireless connectivity system. The new upgrade of HaulPass V60s™ is 50 percent smaller than the original, provides the same percentage HaulPass V60s of expansion in range, and proposes a wide number of software enhancements.
HaulPass V60s is an advanced wave broadband wireless solution which provides low-latency, full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet transport speeds in a fine, ruggedized, easy-to-install compound. The new HaulPass V60s is an enhanced version of the company’s previous HaulPass V60 product. “Our HaulPass V60s uses the license-free 60 GHz millimeter wave radio band to support wireless Gigabit Ethernet connections at distances up to 750 meters,” said Aaron Baranoff, Chief Software Architect at Vubiq Networks. “And now with our new firmware upgrade, we are providing unprecedented flexibility, management and performance advantages for our customers.”
Version 2.01.17 of the HaulPass V60s firmware provides a number of new features and capabilities, which includes support for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), allowing customers to steadily integrate the wireless infrastructure into their custom monitoring software. Apart from the amalgam of the wireless infrastructure, the firmware upgrade also provides a single, unified web interface for all RF and Ethernet switch configuration and monitoring. On a whole, HaulPass V60s customer applications include Gigabit Ethernet wireless fiber-optic extensions, wireless metropolitan area networks, and 4G/LTE mobile network backhaul applications.
Presenting a desegregated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, HaulPass V60s software enhancements include a new watchdog feature to minimize truck rolls in the event of power failures or human errors, It also includes a preconfigured RFC 2544 performance test, plus additional performance and security enhancements.
“The HaulPass V60s is a full-duplex solution offering two-gigabit aggregate throughput at very low latency,” said Mike Pettus, founder and CTO of Vubiq Networks. “This level of performance provides our customers with a higher return on their investment, which is further improved though our economic pricing structure and ease of deployment.”
