WD Unveils My Book Pro to Accelerate Workflow
IRVINE, CA: WD, a Western Digital company specialized in External Storage (DAS), unveils its latest product- My Book Pro, a storage device. The new system will allow creative professionals to efficiently manage large amounts of digital content which can be stored, transferred and edited faster with up to 435 MB/s transfer rates.
My Book Pro storage combines the power of dual 20 Gb/s ThunderBolt 2 ports, USB 3.0 compatibility, RAID hardware and speed of two 7200 RPM WD Black devices to accelerate the workflow. My Book Pro storage is equipped with 7200 RPM WD Black SATA drives, the preferred drive of creative professionals, experts and users with high-performance requirements.
The new device is purpose built for creative professionals including photographers, photo curators, architects, engineers, desktop publishers, videographers, audio editors to consolidate important files and digital content. The key features and advantages include, faster file transfer with help of Thunderbolt 2 or USD 3.0; back up with Apple Time Machine; easy to set up and pre-formatted for Mac OS X; complete control with WD Drive Utilities; manages RAID configurations and no tools required to upgrade or hot swapping drives.
