Will the future be all about Robots and AI?
We all are very familiar with the movie Terminator. Well, this fictional world has become a reality with AI and Robots being deployed rapidly across various industries and homes. And in the next five to ten years, they are sure to join us humans in the mainstream life. Humanity seems to be on a quest to improve itself, but at the same time, it seems to replace itself.
Take, for instance, Sophia, the robot. Sophia uses artificial intelligence, facial recognition and visual data processing, imitating human gestures and facial expressions and carrying out simple conversations. In the years to come, there will be numerous Sophia's that will carry out our tasks.
Besides, AI is being deployed across all sectors. Smartphones, wireless internet, cloud-based services, digital cameras--wherever there will be the internet, so will AI.
Kids playing in parks will no longer be a sight as they will chat and play with each other in the virtual world. That day is not far when parents will program a virtual friend with the desired behavioral traits for their kids to play.
A ‘real university or school' shall not exist anymore for students as education will be in a virtual lecture room-Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). In fact, algorithms are being introduced to grade students' work. On the physical side of things, robots will carry out all our duties and serve our every need. Vehicles, such as trucks will not require drivers anymore.
Robots and AI will not accept defeat; they will keep computing to reach the best conclusions.
In the years to come, don't be surprised to see a robot serving you English breakfast at your favorite restaurant.
