WMCHealth and Royal Philips Join Forces to Deliver Superior Patient Welfare Services

VALHALLA, NY: In an attempt to provide the best medical services to its patients, Westchester Medical Center Health Network, focused on advancing the health and well-being of the residents of the Hudson Valley, partners with Royal Philips, a diversified health and well-being company, in a $500 Mn deal.

According to the terms of the agreement, Philips will provide WMCHealth with advanced medical technologies for imaging systems, patient monitoring, telehealth and clinical informatics, as well as clinical and business consulting services.

As WMCHealth expands beyond a single-campus academic medical center into a multi-location regional healthcare provider, the alliance aims to reinvent the quality care in all areas including radiology, cardiology, neurology, oncology and pediatrics.

The strategic collaboration will help WMC to manage costs, complexity and risk. It is noted by the experts that hospitals working with Royal Philips, have been able to improve radiology volumes and cut MRI waiting times in half.
