WNS Holdings Extends its Pharma Expertise with the Acquisition of Value Edge
FREMONT, CA: In order to widen the area of expertise, companies resort to acquiring specialized firms or successful startups. This is seen as a good option by many since the company need not go through the arduous process of laying the ground work and building the business from scratch. The latest to follow this path is WNS holdings, a Business Process Management (BPM) firm who has acquired Value Edge Research.
The acquisition of Value Edge deepens WNS’ domain and specialized analytical capabilities in the growing pharmaceutical market, and provides WNS with a technology asset which can be leveraged by clients across industries.
“We are thrilled to welcome Value Edge’s talented industry experts to the WNS family, and look forward to jointly creating new opportunities and true business value for our clients,” says Keshav Murugesh, CEO, WNS Holdings.
Value Edge Research, a market intelligence and sales analytics firm, provides support and outsourcing solutions to pharmaceutical companies. It alsoprovide them with consulting grade marketing and data analysis. Value Edge's scientific Competitive Intelligence (CI) platform supports the pharmaceutical companies in addressing specific Key Intelligence questions by collating secondary data. The CI solution includes features such as Integrate Edge, Clinical Trial Benchmarking, competitor profiles and Ad hoc CI monitoring to name a few.
Apart from the CI platform, core company offerings include opportunity assessment, forecasting, reporting & dash-boarding, modeling, business intelligence (BI) tool building, and data analysis. The company also provides services in the areas of pricing analytics, patient data analysis, key account management (KAM), sales force effectiveness (SFE), and social media monitoring.
“The combination of our firms’ respective capabilities will enable us to help clients in the Pharma / Bio-Pharma industry improve their competitive positioning,” says Rohit Anand, Founder and Managing Director, Value Edge. “We believe WNS’ global size and strength will allow us to tap new areas of demand, drive deeper relationships and expand our offerings.”
