Woolpert Establishes Digital Innovations to Advance Google Partnership
Google's formal establishment of a geospatial division supports the company's long-term commitment to Google Cloud and Google Maps.
FREMONT, CA: “The Digital Innovations market represents our commitment to this Google partnership and our investment in the growth of Google Cloud and Google Maps services and technologies,” says Woolpert Senior Vice President Jon Downey. Woolpert has formed a Digital Innovations division to support its decade-long partnership with Google. Woolpert Digital Innovations was founded to advance Woolpert's Google Cloud and Google Maps offerings for global clients.
“This clearly defined division enables us to build on the trajectory of the last 10 years and to set a strategy that goes deeper, expanding services and capabilities beyond the traditional partnership structure,” adds Downey.
Woolpert has provided global geospatial services for over 50 years and employs over 600 geospatial experts on four continents. Woolpert, a Google Cloud Partner since 2014, has received two Google Cloud Location-Based Services Partner of the Year awards and the Google Cloud Partner Award for Customer Success in Google Maps. This summer, Woolpert expanded its Google partnership to serve customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
According to Google Global Managing Director Chip Hall, the expansion of Woolpert's customer base and capabilities has enabled the company to meet all customer requirements.
“Woolpert has always been known as an expert in mapping and location-based services, but they also develop cost-effective solutions, troubleshoot and provide technical support to ensure customers succeed,” states Hall. “We are excited to see them move forward and advance this partnership.”
Downey mentions that the Digital Innovations structure will help Woolpert connect more closely with the business core of its customers. This will allow Woolpert to help its customers move safely to the cloud, use machine learning, modernize critical applications, protect and manage data, and use new technologies to solve business-specific problems.
“This is really about calling out who we are within Woolpert,” concludes Downey. “As our company continues to grow, our leadership understands that we need the resources and platforms that will help us, our partners and our customers excel. We are proud to be part of Woolpert and to help strengthen the firm with this new Digital Innovations division.”
