Xerox App Studio 3.0: Delivering Peerless Workflow Management

FREMONT, CA: In any industry or enterprise, it is an obvious fact that proper management of the workflow yields better end product at a faster rate than just documentation and review. This is an opinion shared by Xerox, which has released the new Xerox App Studio 3.0 as a part of its ConnectKey cloud service. It followed through with the update in order to aid Managed Service Providers (MSP) to customize the application services it provides to its channel partners, writes Michael Vizard of ‘channelinsider’.

According to Darren Cassidy, President, Xerox Channel Groups USA, rather than just focusing on their flagship Multifunctional Printers (MFP) and the number of pages printed, they are aiming at helping its partners, who are mostly solution providers, to render services to customers that involve procedures to optimize business process by reducing the number of steps involved in the completion of any given task.

In order to execute its latest scheme, Xerox will provide its workflow automation expertise through its subsidiary, NewField, to its partners. NewField will deliver workflow assessment tools and services to the MSPs, who can leverage the said services to identify workflows inside an organization and optimize them.

"It's time to change the conversation," says Cassidy. "We're going to provide tools that help partners figure out the right places to attack."

Apart from workflow, Xerox continues to deliver its highly rated cloud services which have a few new features integrated into them, including translation services which can convert documents across 35 different languages. Xerox has 162 partners participating in a Personalized Application Builder (PAB) program that use Xerox’s APIs to build applications.

One thing that is clear to a larger number of Xerox partners is that the MFP is now becoming a means to a much larger workflow management end.
