FREMONT, CA: Xirrus announced EasyPass, a suite of services for mobile device management to access Wi-Fi service. EasyPass is a set of software services that easily connects users to Wi-Fi networks with minimum IT involvement to solve the problems faced by users in connecting their personal devices to a corporate network and transferring data at their workplace.
With so many different security technologies, device types and access solutions in use, there typically isn’t much common ground. The result is that users are left frustrated and confused. Keeping this is in mind, Xirrus came up with EasyPass to:
Provide Fast, Easy Wi-Fi Access: With just a few clicks and no IT involvement, guests can self register and employees can self-onboard to your company’s Wi-Fi network from any personal device with little to no technical knowledge required.
Simplify BYOD Security: Xirrus EasyPass significantly streamlines IT operations and reduces help desk calls by letting users securely connect to the corporate network without need for deploying certificates or installing applications on personal devices.
Works Seamlessly With Any Device: EasyPass supports any type of device and operating system, including mobile phones, tablets, and laptops operating with iOS, Android, Windows and Apple OS X.
The EasyPass service comprises three modules:
EasyPass Onboarding– makes it simple for employees to securely connect their personal devices to a corporate network without needing IT assistance.
EasyPass Guest –allows guests to self-register without any IT assistance and delivers fast and easy Wi-Fi access for anyone that wants to connect from anywhere, on any device. IT administrators gain full visibility into guest activities and the control to enforce access policies from anywhere through the cloud.
EasyPass Voucher – enables guest access with pre-created voucher codes to ensure greater control over who receives Wi-Fi access and for what duration.
“Users expect to connect anywhere, anytime without waiting. It’s no longer enough to simply provide Wi-Fi – today, connecting must be fast, easy and secure. EasyPass addresses the pain points IT departments face due to the growing number of disparate devices on their Wi-Fi networks. Xirrus is the only Wi-Fi vendor to provide secure, device-independent Wi-Fi access with the simplest way to connect,” said Bruce Miller, vice president of product marketing, Xirrus.
