SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Zadara Storage, a Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) provider, will be deploying Intel commodity to launch Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA). It features innumerable Intel technologies and building blocks to reinvent enterprise storage.

Zadara VPSA delivers an enterprise storage capability that runs on Intel hardware commodity. These software defined storages are integrated with Intel  Xeon processors and Intel Virtualization technology, Intel NICs with Intel-pioneered SR-IOV, and Intel SSDs. It also offers flexible, enterprise-grade solution that are also cost efficient.

The features of VPSA include sophisticated snapshots, remote replication, multi-zone high availability, encryption, in-storage Docker containers, and backup storage that utilize Intel architecture capabilities.

“Solutions like those demonstrated by Zadara Storage are testaments to the speed of innovation within the storage arena and the storage ecosystem’s progress in the delivery of software defined infrastructure,” states Bev Crair, Vice President, DCG Storage Group at Intel.

VPSA is patent protected technology to create Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) in cloud. Organizations can get access to enterprise grade storage on-site in their data center as On-Premise as a service Service or at collocation facilities and service providers. These achieve scalability, reliability, serviceability and perform with flexibility and pay-as-you-go economics of the cloud.

“By relying upon a number of Intel innovations, we were able to bring to market in a relatively short time a disruptive, no-compromise enterprise storage product that is compatible with traditional storage, yet exceeds it in terms of capabilities, flexibility and cost,” says Nelson Nahum, CEO and co-founder at Zadara Storage.
