Enabling Data-Driven, Automated Recruitment

Oleeo

Charles Hipps, Founder and CEO
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced businesses to virtualize the high-touch human process of recruiting within a stipulated timeframe—or almost without any time to prepare. At the same time, unprecedented furloughs and layoffs have led to an increase in the volume of applicants for available jobs. These dual factors make it difficult for recruiters and hiring managers to pinpoint the right candidates, accelerate the time to hire, and deliver inclusive candidate experiences. There is also a constant need to nurture candidates in the talent pipeline for the future. Furthermore, diversity and inclusion (D&I) is becoming a top priority for every organization these days to eliminate human bias from candidate selection and achieve long-term goals. The situation demands extensive agility, flexibility, and sustainability from recruiters—unimagined just a while ago.

That's where Oleeo comes in. The company is setting a new standard of recruiting technology with its recruiting enablement platform. It includes automation, artificial intelligence, and bulk processing capabilities throughout and can be configured to support diverse recruiting strategies and workflows. As a result, recruiters can spend less time on administrative tasks, efficiently perform high-value recruiting activities, and fast track the recruitment process. "Recruiting teams are under immense administrative burden. We ease the pressure and reduce their workload by helping them source, select, engage, and hire their workforce more efficiently," says Charles Hipps, Founder and CEO, Oleeo.

Further, Oleeo enables clients to gain deep insights into their state of D&I and use Intelligent Selection (a machine learning functionality to automatically score candidates for selection) and Intelligent Writing (a capability that helps recruiters de-gender job postings) capabilities to hardwire D&I into their processes. This widens the talent pool, creates inclusive candidate experiences, and improves workforce diversity. Hipps mentions that the idea of D&I is rightly captured in Oleeo's name, which is derived from the word "olio," meaning "a miscellaneous collection of things."

Our aim is to reduce the workload on recruiting teams and hiring managers, while enabling them to make better hiring decisions

Oleeo's AI-backed recruiting enablement platform automates workflows and tasks throughout the recruiting process. This includes capturing and parsing candidate data, administering and evaluating assessments, selecting candidates for interviews, designing interview agendas and multi-interview days, interview scheduling, onboarding new hires, and nurturing and updating candidates. "We are not just "hopping onto the bandwagons" of D&I and the use of AI and automation. Our purpose (and passion) is to help companies attract, engage, and build diverse teams that can change the world for the better," mentions Hipps.

With this state-of-the-art recruiting platform, Oleeo has enabled over 400 employers in more than 145 countries to build efficient teams. For instance, a leading European retailer, Marks and Spencer, used this recruiting enablement platform to automate the entire hiring process. As a result, they filled seasonal roles in just 3 days (26 days faster than before and 24 days faster than their competitor). More importantly, the seasonal employees generated almost £377 million in revenue. In another case, Oleeo helped Nuclear graduates—that offers a 2-year graduate program to help students rotate within the nuclear industry—reduce recruiting administrative costs by 80 percent and achieve an ROI of $60 million.

Backed by many such instances of client success stories, Oleeo always strives to explore new avenues for growth. The company believes that the future of recruiting is data-driven and automated. Striding ahead, Oleeo will make an investment to improve its AI-driven candidate scoring capability, enable automated, AI-based two-way texting and personalization of career sites, to name a few. Not stopping there, Oleeo is focused on expanding in the U.S. market in the coming years. "Our aim is to reduce the workload on recruiting teams and hiring managers, while enabling them to make better hiring decisions," concludes Hipps.
