Remote work has profoundly transformed the way people collaborate and communicate, making video conferencing the new normal in business communications. In the postpandemic world, much of the innovation in video conference solutions have been about accommodating more users or facilitating faster communication. The time is now ripe for bringing more innovative video conferencing platforms to the market that can make business communications simple and intuitive.

Panther Media Systems is moving the needle on innovation in video conferencing solutions with its one-ofa- kind, unified collaboration platform, PantherConnect.

Empowered by its more than 15 years of experience in reliable video delivery and VoIP services, the team has combined voice, video, chat and more into an affordable platform that allows SMBs to experience seamless communication across their organizations.

“We have built the most easy-to-use and innovative solutions on the market, helping users simplify video conferences,” says Bill Dunning, CEO of Panther Media System.

The Mark of Distinction

With PantherConnect, users get invited to scheduled video conferences through an on-screen alert and ringtone. All it takes is one click to join their fellow meeting attendees in the video call. It also has intelligent screen sharing features that include allowing users to switch between multiple screens in the same window.

Among the many ground-breaking features of PantherConnect, a standout is its simultaneous language interpretation capability.

This feature is best highlighted by a client that needed simultaneous language interpretation for a multilingual group. Users had to be segregated into groups based on preferred languages and interpreters and moderators needed to be able to seamlessly join. A custom feature was built that enabled participants to hear an interpreter speaking in their native language, while reducing the volume of the speaker being interpreted.

It also allowed conference moderators to choose the language group they needed to be in and effortlessly preside over discussions. This feature plays a crucial role in helping organizations create an environment where multiple language participants can hear their respective interpretations without interruption, allowing for ease of interaction across groups.

Raising the bar on innovation, the Panther Media System team has made its video conferencing platform extendable. Users can add live interpreter services, white-label packaging, and digital signage applications synchronized with live keynote speakers, along with advanced webinar features that help them organize more immersive video conferences.

Pushing the Boundaries of Video Encoding

PantherConnect is built with the next-generation Panther Media Encoder that adds multiple sources of video content, along with additional options for content delivery with a very small footprint.

We have built the most easy-to-use and innovative solutions on the market, helping users simplify video conferences

It is supplemented with new video source options that include IP security cameras with PTZ controls, and PolyCom conference systems. For instance, a user working for an inventory management company in Seattle can instantly add security cameras to the meeting to show other participants what their warehouses in Idaho look like. The media encoder is also equipped with other video source options, like voice and video SIP calls, as well as the standard HDMI, SDI, and streaming protocols.

Clients can opt for a complete range of configurations, from a rack-mounted, multi-channel studio grade encoder to a tiny, single purpose encoder, with the same cloud-based remote management tools and high video streaming quality. It ultimately leads to fewer dropped calls and delivers a flawless user experience.

“We constantly monitor our network performance to draw insights from user feedback to further enhance our services”

Diversifying Service Delivery

Panther Media System typically follows two service delivery models for two distinct groups of users.

For smaller users, it provides PantherConnect as a free, ready-to-use, web-based video conferencing service. Users receive an informative email on how to add contacts with a master account and a quick-start guide that explains its features.

For enterprises with a large user base or specialized integration with their business systems, an enterprise unified communications as a service model (UcaaS) or an infrastructure as a service model (IaaS) is offered.

Under UcaaS and IaaS, it provides a white glove experience where clients have an assigned consultant, who walks them through the entire process; explaining all the options, and assisting in planning, and migration to the platform.

The team at Panther Media System can install the infrastructure on premise in a client’s private data center or cloud provider and then remotely manage and maintain it for them. It also equips the platform with necessary information security controls required by healthcare, banking, or government organizations.

In an ongoing project with a company that conducts video training for banks and credit unions across the U.S., Panther Media System assigned a dedicated consultant to assist them by planning the entire implementation process while mitigating any issues that may emerge.

A strong emphasis on user feedback is deeply rooted in the culture of Panther Media System.

“We constantly monitor our network performance to draw insights from user feedback to further enhance our services,” says Katrina Pietruszynski, chief executive administrator of Panther Media System.

The platform comes with a live customer support chat feature that helps their team effectively respond to customer queries. The team then collects all the queries and assesses them to improve the platform’s performance and keep it running at maximum efficiency.

An Enduring Legacy

Dunning started his career at one of the first companies to develop a remote-control encoder that radio station broadcasters could take anywhere in the world to livestream. In the early 2000s, he went on to assist major automotive manufacturers in managing their internal video communications. The success of these projects led him to engagements with two Japanese companies to organize interactive e-learning events, with one of them focusing on training 5,000 service providers on a newly released product.

The cumulative effect of these experiences, along with technological advancements, drove him to launch an interactive real-time video conferencing platform that could be deployed on a client’s cloud infrastructure. The idea came to fruition as PantherConnect.

Driven by the passion for continuous innovation, Panther Media System is poised to further augment its platform’s functionalities and expand its user base. It is currently adding a new feature that lets users know the location time of other participants to make global communications more personal and collaborative.

Organizations looking to take business communications to the next level can end their search with Panther Media System. Empowered by its technical expertise, turnkey approach to client engagement, and a deep understanding of market developments, it continues to push the boundaries of video conferencing and change the way people communicate in an increasingly digital world.
